I just got back in town and noticed that the beautiful trees that lined the walking path were gone. Then I read in the paper that they had been taken out for power lines.
I never heard of any public discussion on this. The trees didn’t look sick, in fact they were more beautiful every year.
So new trees are being put in that won’t “interfere” with the power lines? When did power lines add beauty to anywhere? What happened to underground lines? I sense that it would have cost more and it was cheaper and easier to take the trees.
Money rules?
Now as I travel in and out of town, the beauty that I once enjoyed will no longer be there. I will have power lines to look at.
