INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids will be received by the Ravalli County Clerk and Recorder Office at 215 S. 4th Street, Suite C, Hamilton, Montana, 59840, until 10:30 a.m. local time on April 23, 2013, for the construction of the East Fork Bitterroot Road Safety Project.  Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “EAST FORK BITTERROOT ROAD SAFETY PROJECT” and “SEALED BID” along with bidder’s name and mailing address.  No facsimile bids will be accepted.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. local time on April 23, 2013, within the Commissioners’ Conference Room.  The work includes the removal, replacement and installation of new bridge rail and installation of approach rail at two locations along the East Fork Bitterroot Road.  The project site is located in Ravalli County, along the East Fork Bitterroot Road.  The bridge locations are approximately 14 miles and 15.5 miles up the East Fork Bitterroot Road from the intersection of East Fork Bitterroot Road and US Highway 93, which is approximately 0.2 miles north from the town of Sula, MT.  All work must be substantially complete within 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued.  The project is administered by Ravalli County, financed by the FHWA Western Federal Lands Highway Division, and is subject to all applicable regulations as indicated within the specifications.
The contract documents may be examined or obtained at the Ravalli County Road & Bridge Department, 244 Fairgrounds Road, Hamilton, Montana 59840, (406) 363-2733 or the office of WGM Group, Inc., 1111 E. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid conference, which will be conducted in the Commissioners’ conference room at 10:00 a.m. on April 11, 2013.
Ravalli County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, or to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid and bidder, and to make awards in the interest of Ravalli County.  It is expressly stated that final award of the Contract is contingent upon securing appropriate financing.

AUDIT PUBLICATION STATEMENT
An audit of Ravalli County, Hamilton, Montana has been conducted by Ronald Paul Foltz, Certified Public Accountant.  The audit covered this year ended June 30, 2012.
Section 2-7-521, MCA, requires the publication of the following summary of Significant Audit Findings.  This is only a summary and is not intended to be used as an audit report.
SUMMARY OF SIGNIFICANT FINDINGS
The audit report for Ravalli County for the year ended June 30, 2011, contained two independent auditor’s reports:
• The independent auditor’s report on the County’s financial statements.  There were no qualification in the audit report.
• The independent auditor’s report on internal control over compliance and financial reporting contained no findings.
• The independent auditor’s report on the County’s compliance and internal control over compliance applicable to major programs contained no findings.
